Wire tool needs warning message when you have no wire

If you don't have the wires or materials needed for the wire gun there is no indicator or warning showing what items are needed for you to be able to place wires. This can you leave you confused and not able to progress as you don't know what you are missing.

I have the same exact issue. I'm not the original poster, but I can confirm the fix Opa suggested worked for me - it works properly if i added a wire roll to my inventory (though i wish that was more clear / not the case)

KermitLP MergedI just crafted the wire gun but i cant equip it. When i hit the button in the toolbelt nothing happens and cant select in in the radial menu.

Opa Admin Mergeddid you also craft the required "Wire Rolls" to use it?
If not try that and tell me if that was the error and maybe provide some screenshots and or a Video of the issue. -

Opa Admin MergedTo build wires you always need the Item "Wire and Wire Roll" both get used (i think it was 3 wires per cable + Wire roll depending on the length of the cable)
Can you please check if you encounter this issue when you also have wire rolls in your inventory? -
