Lowering the amount of materials you need to gather before you can build anything.

I really think it's a tedious, slow and annoying proces that you need to gather a huge amount of materials before you can build anything. Maybe it's possible to lower the amount of materials you need to gather, so you can start building anything you like sooner, what would make the game a lot more fun to play? Ok, maybe it does make the game a bit less realistic, but the fun level would definitely increase. That's what a game must be about, because it will make you come back to this game sooner, because it makes the game more addictive and more fun to play imo, instead of going through the tedious process that you first need to collect a huge amount of materials.
