Stations Not Intuitive, Efficient Or Fun To Learn.
The system by which you unlock, craft, upgrade, etc is not intuitive, efficient, fun and quite frustrating to learn, especially for someone who may not have ever played games like this before.
Suggestion to rethink how crafting/unlocking recipes/upgrades/etc should be done:
You make a crafting station for Machines, Botanical, Cooking, etc, etc. Add the ability to craft from that station using mats that only pertain to that station. Upgrade the station to unlock new tiered and sub tiered items/recipes/machines, etc... Add tooltips and the ability to craft from storage! This is the system I am and many others are used too cause its more intuitive, efficient and for those who have never played games like these before, theyll pick it up in a hurry. I really hope this gets revamped cause its frustrating and really not fun to learn in its current state. Thanks for your time and consideration.

100% agree. Having a bunch of machines sitting around, doing nothing, until I need to research something isn't fun. I'd rather have either an upgrade to the station that tiers the things I can make, or have a single research station that unlocks the things I can craft at various stations, like a more traditional tech tree. -

SourceUnknownAfter spending a great deal of time with getting used to the crafting/upgrading system, I can say its "tolerable". Keeping it simple has its benefits. It still feels like 3 different people worked on this system with no contact between them or bouncing good ideas off each other and now its all stitched together like Frankenstein's Monster...
However, I can live with the system for now, its just not fun, efficient and can still be confusing at times, especially with no task notes to help you remember all the mats you need to make one thing, then all the mats you need to make another thing from that one thing, etc, etc...
